The Situation

PersonaAI came to us with a clear thesis: businesses don't need another chatbot. They need an agent that can actually run the front of the business — sell, track, support, follow up — across every channel a customer might use, and across whatever industry the business happens to be in. Most "AI" tools talk about doing this. None of them do it, because none of them are wired into the systems the business runs on. Our job was to build the platform that does.

The Problem

The businesses PersonaAI wanted to serve — online stores, restaurants, real estate agencies, service providers — were each stitched together from a stack of disconnected point tools. A chatbot that couldn't see the order system. A helpdesk that couldn't see inventory. A loyalty app that didn't know what the customer just bought. A review tool that didn't talk to anything. Every one of those tools handled language fine and actions not at all, so the moment a customer asked something specific — "where's my order," "book me a table for four," "is that listing still available," "cancel order 1032" — a human had to step in. Multiply that across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, web, and email, and across an entire customer base, and the cost in headcount and missed sales is enormous. PersonaAI wanted one platform that closed every one of those gaps. We had to build it.

Why Generic AI Tools Wouldn't Cut It

A standalone language model writes a fluent reply and then stops. It can't look up an order in Shopify, cross-check the shipment against a carrier's live data, build a cart, validate a coupon, and place a real order — let alone open a return only after confirming the order belongs to the customer. It can't recognize the same person across six channels, answer natively in Hebrew with correct right-to-left formatting, or run a loyalty program and a CRM pipeline off the same conversation. Off-the-shelf AI fails here because the hard part isn't the language — it's the live connection to real systems and the judgment about what the agent is allowed to do. That had to be designed, not plugged in.

What We Built for Them

We built the full agentic AI platform behind PersonaAI — the agent, the tools it calls, the data it runs on, and the channels it lives in.

The Agentic Core

At the heart of the platform is a tool-calling agent that reasons about each message, decides which actions to take, and chains them together — look up the order, check the shipment, offer the return. It isn't a scripted bot following a decision tree; it plans.

  • Every tool is gated per business and per customer identity, so the agent can only do what it's allowed to.
  • Side-effecting actions like cancellations and returns require ownership verification before the agent touches anything.

Commerce That Actually Closes

On the commerce side, we connected the agent directly to the systems the store runs on, so it can sell and support inside the conversation.

  • Live order tracking — wired into Shopify and WooCommerce, it answers "where's my order?" from live order data, falling back to a direct store lookup and then the knowledge base.
  • Real shipment status — connected to AfterShip's 1,200+ carrier network, it reports where a package actually is right now: status, expected delivery, checkpoint history.
  • In-chat shopping — it searches the live catalog, shows variants, stock, and prices, builds the cart, validates coupons, and places a real order without the customer ever leaving the chat.
  • Recovery and upsell — it recovers abandoned carts with identity-aware follow-up and suggests complementary products from the live catalog.

One Platform, Many Industries

Because PersonaAI serves more than retail, we built the platform to run whole businesses across verticals:

  • E-commerce — full storefront support inside the conversation.
  • Restaurant — menu, reservations, and waitlist.
  • Real estate — listings, tours, and lead scoring.
  • Service — catalog, booking, and staff scheduling.

On top of these sit a loyalty and club suite (members, points and tiers, RFM segmentation, campaigns, gamification, a staff scan app, and churn insights) and a CRM suite (pipeline, quotes and proposals, sequences, tasks, and forecasting).

One Agent Across Every Channel

We made the agent work wherever the customer already is, with one identity behind every conversation.

  • Six channels, one inbox — WhatsApp (via Twilio and Meta), web chat, Instagram DM, Messenger, Telegram, and email, all driving into a single unified inbox.
  • Cross-channel identity — a customer data layer resolves a visitor across channels into one identity, so the agent always knows who it's talking to and can act on their real history.
  • Grounded answers — a knowledge base built from the client's site and ingested PDFs keeps replies tied to the company's real content, with citations.
  • Multimodal and multilingual — it understands images, voice notes, and documents customers send, detects language automatically, and replies in kind — built Hebrew-native, with correct right-to-left handling, for the Israeli market.

The Intelligence and Operations Layer

Around all of this we built the layer that turns conversations into insight and action.

  • Lead scoring — automatic scoring and qualification straight from conversations.
  • Conversation intelligence — sentiment, top questions, intents, drop-offs, and buying signals surfaced from real chats.
  • Reputation guard — monitors reviews and drafts replies to Google reviews, alerting managers.
  • ROI reporting — ties the agent's activity back to revenue.
  • Proactive campaigns — scheduled and event-based messaging triggered by CRM webhooks or external system events, with audience segmentation and A/B testing.
  • Manager alerts — real-time anomaly alerts on unusual volume or patterns.
  • Local context — Shabbat and holiday auto-replies.
  • Human handover — when the agent reaches its limit, it hands off to a live person with full queue management.

Built to Sell Into the Enterprise

What makes the agent more than a chatbot is what it plugs into. We built the integration layer that lets PersonaAI land larger accounts and connect to the systems a serious business already runs on.

  • ERP — connects to the systems that hold the real source of truth: Priority and SAP, plus custom ERP integrations for whatever a client runs.
  • E-commerce platforms — native connections to Shopify and WooCommerce for live orders, catalog, stock, and fulfillment.
  • Carrier network — live shipment data across AfterShip's 1,200+ carriers, so tracking is real, not a copied link.
  • CRM — custom CRM integrations so the agent reads and writes against the client's existing pipeline, not a siloed copy.
  • Messaging infrastructure — WhatsApp through Twilio and Meta, with support for multiple WhatsApp numbers under one account.
  • Calendar & scheduling — two-way Google Calendar sync for booking and availability.
  • Open API — so clients wire the agent into anything else they run.
  • Website & CMS — WordPress sync to keep the knowledge base aligned with the client's live site.
  • White-label — the entire platform rebranded as the client's own product.

This is the part most "AI" vendors skip — and it's the reason the agent can actually do what it says. It acts on the live systems the business depends on, not a sandbox copy.

The Result

  • PersonaAI launched with a working agentic platform — not a demo or a thin wrapper, but an agent that calls real tools against live systems and is gated to do only what each business allows.
  • It's one product that replaces an entire stack: chatbot, helpdesk, shipment tracker, review manager, loyalty app, and CRM, all driven by a single agent with one view of the customer.
  • It sells into multiple industries out of the box — retail, restaurants, real estate, and service — instead of being locked to a single use case, and it serves the Israeli market natively in Hebrew.

PersonaAI has a product they can put in front of a skeptical buyer and have it do exactly what the demo promises — because it's wired into the systems the business actually runs on.
